I was unable to paint for 10 months following the wildfires and loss of our home and winery. On August 19th, after winning the “Content” battle with the insurance company and deciding to hire an accountant to figure out our impossible record-less business income taxes, I went into my tiny laundry room studio and didn’t come out until I had something on canvas. I had no idea what it would be, and no plans. It turned into Topsy Turvey, without creatures, just burned trees and smoke. It wasn’t until the anniversary of the fire that I started adding an animal a day to the painting.
The art sale was great. Thank you all for being here and supporting my art. I plan a second sale next summer when my stock will be replenished!
