I was unable to paint for 10 months following the wildfires and loss of our home and winery. On August 19th, after winning the “Content” battle with the insurance company and deciding to hire an accountant to figure out our impossible record-less business income taxes, I went into my tiny laundry room studio and didn’t come out until I had something on canvas. I had no idea what it would be, and no plans. It turned into Topsy Turvey, without creatures, just burned trees and smoke. It wasn’t until the anniversary of the fire (today) that I started adding an animal a day to the painting. Now it doesn’t have a name , but it makes me smile.
The paintings are not for sale yet but I am planning an online art show on December 1st..
